Before joining the team, Chef Cantu was the proprietor of Nomad Chef LLC and previously helmed kitchens at notable venues including Thompson San Antonio and The Angad Arts Hotel. His remarkable culinary skills have not gone unnoticed, earning him numerous awards, such as the #2 restaurant in Texas by Business Jet Traveler in 2021, along with recognition from USA Today and San Antonio Magazine.

From his early days cooking with his family during his father’s military deployments, to owning and operating restaurants, Chef Cantu’s career reflects his deep-seated passion and commitment to the culinary arts. He has managed an array of dining establishments nationwide, from local eateries to luxurious steakhouses, consistently aiming to uplift San Antonio’s food scene.
